For some reason, I got to thinking about someone I used to roleplay with in a KIngdom Hearts forum long ago and far away. Thinking about her made me realize just how much she annoyed me, and now I feel the need to rant. So I shall.
First of all, her character (I forget the name) apparently was the queen of some 'sub-species' of Nobodies called Doodles. And she was madly in love with the Doodle King. If that were the case, she would be a Nobody, so she wouldn't be able to be madly in love.
Second of all, when she was somehow banished (how the hell do you banish the Queen?) from the land of the Doodles, she became all miserable and angsty, which is, again, not possible for Nobodies. Besides, it was just /annoying/. You couldn't talk to her without her saying how something or other reminded her of her kingdom and she'd get all depressed.
The player herself wasn't much better. We dropped hints left and right about how much her characters (the other two weren't much better) were annoying, and she didn't get it. Not even when one of us gave her a link to a Mary Sue test and her character was proclaimed 'Irridemable Sue.' Instead, she went on about how the test was /obviously/ wrong, because the tragic events of her characters past couldn't /possibly/ contribute to her Sue-ness. And /obviously/ the fact that her character was a Jane Emo and not original in the least couldn't mean a thing. We would have told her out right, but we were all, sadly, human, and we didn't want to make her feel bad. So, grin and bear it became a motto (at least for my friend and I).
The scary part is that this happened at three. Different. Forums. One of them was related to the first one (since it died and a new one was made) but the third one was completely unrelated, and it was just /sad/. We wanted our Happy Pretendy Fun time to be fun, and she was making that a bit difficult. Especially since one character had about a bajillion different forms she could alternate between, and she could slow down or speed up time, and she'd make offers that it would just be stupid and/or wouldn't make sense for our characters to refuse, so she battered her way into the roleplay, even if no one had actually been talking to her.
Though, I played Cloud along with my OCs, so I'm kinda disappointed she didn't try and make nice-nice with Cloud. My version of Cloud was going a wee-bit insane, and he wouldn't have taken nicely to her. At all. Such a nice, pretty sword...
...And now I've made myself want to roleplay. Dammit. Well, I miss my OCs. ANyone willing?
